Your Role as Provincial Manager

As a Provincial Manager, you will play a crucial role in:

  • Translating Capitec’s Business Banking strategy into clear, tactical sales plans, specific objectives, and measurable targets for your assigned province or region.
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing your Business Banking team to ensure optimal performance, resource utilization, and the consistent achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

Who We Are Looking For

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a business or retail banking environment, specifically managing an operational function that spans a large provincial area.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a national or regional team of approximately 40 employees within a business or retail setting.
  • Proven ability to analyze external market dynamics, apply conceptual thinking, and use commercial know-how to develop and implement effective tactical responses.
  • Experience in managing a budget at a regional level.
  • Demonstrated capability to leverage the full range of functional and support capabilities to boost sales and client interactions.
  • An agile mindset, with the ability to create and manage momentum, drive change, and facilitate development in processes, people, and technology.

Ideal Experience:

  • Previous experience specifically within a business banking environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Management.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

Minimum Knowledge:

You should have a strong understanding of:

  • The principles and practices of business economics and the current business economic environment.
  • Sales principles, methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Regional competitor tactics, distribution channels, and product offerings.
  • Market segmentation propositions and various customer profiles.
  • How to effectively translate organizational strategy into actionable business plans and objectives.
  • The application of metrics and data to enhance performance.
  • Account management principles.
  • Business development principles and methodologies, especially in a sales context.
  • Effective networking strategies and how to build strong stakeholder relationships within your area of responsibility.
  • Leadership principles and effective people management techniques.
  • Strategies for managing a workforce to drive sales in the field.
  • Managing a budget, including setting targets and designing incentive structures.

Ideal Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Capitec’s internal systems and Business Bank processes.
