About the Project Manager II Role

Join our dynamic Delivery Enablement team as a Project Manager II in Stellenbosch. In this exciting role, you will manage multiple strategic projects across various departments within Capitec. We are seeking experienced Project Managers who thrive in fast-paced environments and can deliver exceptional results across diverse business areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they align with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and confidently present project updates to senior stakeholders, including divisional executives.
  • Utilise JIRA (mandatory) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for comprehensive project tracking, reporting, and presentations.
  • Apply strong business acumen to understand project context, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive successful outcomes.
  • Prepare and present detailed project updates and progress reports to steering committees and executive leadership.

Our Ideal Candidate Should Have:

  • Proven experience of 4 to 10 years as a Project Manager, specifically managing several large-scale projects at once.
  • Strong practical experience with JIRA is essential.
  • Experience with Confluence is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to present effectively to senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to engage in challenging conversations when necessary.
  • Experience working within fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile environments and experience with SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Grade 12 certificate.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management.
