Position Summary

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join its Financial Support Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Contracts and Tenders team.

Job Description

The Administrative Officer I: Tenders will be responsible for ensuring logistical arrangements for committee meetings, drafting committee minutes, reviewing and ensuring completeness of preferred and sole sourcing requests, and ensuring effective document storage and record management.

  • Ensure logistical arrangements for committee meetings, including setting up of meetings and monitoring of attendance.
  • Ensure completeness and timeous submission of committee packs and agenda.
  • Draft committee minutes and handle correspondence with Project leaders.
  • Review and ensure completeness of preferred and sole sourcing requests.
  • Compile pre-payment submissions as required.
  • Ensure effective document storage, archiving and record management.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Diploma or Certification in Procurement/Logistics or Supply Chain Management (NQF6) and 3-5 years of relevant experience in Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain.

  • Diploma or Certification in Procurement/Logistics or Supply Chain Management (NQF6).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain.
  • Experience working on SCM modules, with Oracle experience an advantage.
