Specialist: Litigation (Safeguarding of Assets)

Capitec Bank Ltd is seeking a Specialist: Litigation (Safeguarding of Assets) to join their team in Sandton.

Purpose Statement

The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating, monitoring, and controlling suitable legal processes to ensure the optimal realisation of various collateral types held across all product offerings in respect of the relevant non-performing loan portfolio.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of2-3 years post-admission experience in civil and/or commercial litigation practice, with at least2 years in a Collections and Recoveries space.

Qualifications

A relevant post-graduate degree in Law or Commerce is required, with a Master’s Degree in Law or Business Administration being an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

The successful candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of the Collections and Recoveries environment, insolvency legislation, and litigation processes. They will also possess skills such as attention to detail, computer literacy, and negotiation skills.
