Accountant

Our accounting firm client in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Accountant to work remotely. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in accounting and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• A financial accounting qualification (e.g., degree)
• Significant experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant in an accounting firm
• The ability to work remotely and manage a portfolio of clients

Responsibilities

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Processing Pastel income statements and balance sheet items
• Managing monthly journals and reconciliations
• Maintaining fixed asset registers
• Reconciling customer and supplier ledgers
• Preparing financial statements on Draftworks
• Supervising junior accountants

The salary for this position ranges from R520,000 to R600,000 per annum, depending on experience, qualifications, and membership.
