Who Can Apply?

- You must be a South African citizen or a permanent resident.
- You need to be currently unemployed.
- You should be in Matric now or have already completed Matric.
- You must be planning to study or already studying one of the awesome qualifications listed above for the 2026 academic year.
- You need to be registered or planning to register at a recognised and accredited South African university, university of technology, public or private TVET college, or even accredited Aviation and Diving schools.
- You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 40% in your previous academic year.
- For Commercial Diving (Class II, III, and IV) applicants: You must have completed Matric and be able to swim.
- For Commercial Pilot License (CPL) applicants: You must hold a valid Private Pilot License (PPL).
- For Instructor’s or Instrument Rating applicants: You must have a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
- For ATPL applicants: You need a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Instructor’s, and Instrument rating.
- You should come from a previously disadvantaged background.
- Your total household income must NOT be more than R350,000 per year.
- Make sure you also meet all the criteria listed in the official TETA Bursary Guidelines 2026.

For TVET Students:

- Certified copy of your proof of registration to study at a TVET college (if applicable).

For Commercial Diving Students:
