About the Role

As an Oracle Technical Developer at UJ, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of technical solutions within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Fusion Cloud applications. This includes the design, development, and unit testing of solutions across key modules like HRMS, Financials, and SCM. Your role will involve developing and maintaining custom applications, building and supporting interface solutions, and ensuring that all system enhancements are high-quality, scalable, robust, and aligned with business needs.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

You will be a well-rounded techno-functional professional, supporting both technical and functional areas. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day technical development support for reports, functions, workflows, interfaces, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF) extensions.
  • Delivering expert-level technical and functional support for Oracle EBS applications (HRMS, Financials, SCM) and Oracle Fusion Cloud applications.
  • Analyzing, documenting, and supporting system changes, enhancements, and development activities, including system and user acceptance testing.
  • Leading technical investigations to diagnose and resolve Oracle EBS system issues.
  • Translating business requirements into clear process flows and detailed technical design specifications.
  • Assisting with testing and deployment of Release Update Packs (RUPs) and other module upgrades.
  • Managing coding standards and maintaining code versioning using tools like Git.
  • Applying best practice development methodologies, tools, and standards.
  • Executing duties in line with the organization’s Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Leading the deployment of new functionalities and modules into the production environment.
  • Proactively recommending and implementing innovative technical solutions.
  • Conducting technical evaluations of proposed solutions for business initiatives.
  • Leading the technical design and development of system solutions.
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to junior developers to foster skills development and knowledge transfer.

What You’ll Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification.
  • An Oracle Developer Certificate or Oracle Cloud Fusion certificate.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in an Oracle Fusion Cloud environment.
  • In-depth understanding of Oracle EBS modules: HRMS, Financials, and Supply Chain Management (SCM).
  • Proven experience in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Solid knowledge of business processes and workflows within ERP systems.

Skills & Attributes

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, and OAF.
  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SOA Suite, or REST/SOAP APIs.
  • In-depth understanding of Oracle EBS architecture and the Oracle Fusion Cloud platform.
  • Strong experience with OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP) reporting, as well as FBDI and HDL data imports.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Skilled in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging Oracle applications across various environments.
