The University of the Free State is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor to join the Department of Practical and Missional Theology.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in pastoral theology and praxis, conducting research, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Present undergraduate and postgraduate modules in pastoral theology and praxis
• Conduct research within the broader framework of pastoral theology and praxis
• Publish scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals
• Supervise postgraduate students at master’s and PhD levels
• Participate in leadership and administration at Departmental and Faculty level

Inherent Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Practical Theology with specialisation in Pastoral Care and Counselling. Relevant experience in teaching and research is essential.
