What Does It Cover?
This program is a 24-month (two-year fixed-term) contract based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. You’ll gain invaluable experience in various fields. Here are the exciting areas you could be working in:
- Supply Chain Management Intern (1 Post): Get hands-on with contract management, ensuring compliance with PFMA, PPPFA, and BBBEE. You’ll also dive into tender evaluations (RFQ, RFP, RFB), purchase order processing, and essential administrative support.
- Sector Development & Transformation Intern (1 Post): Support critical projects aimed at developing and transforming the social housing sector. You’ll also assist with policy frameworks that shape the future of social housing.
- Legal Intern (2 Posts): Assist with litigation processes, conduct crucial research, gather evidence, and draft important contracts, letters, and legal correspondence. You’ll also support legal education and compliance efforts.
Who Can Apply?
Think you’ve got what it takes? Here’s what SHRA is looking for:
- You must be a South African citizen under 35 years old.
- You need to be an unemployed graduate from a University or University of Technology.
- You must hold the specific qualifications required for each position (e.g., a National Diploma (NQF 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain/Logistics/Purchasing Management for SCM; a National Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) in Built Environment or Business Management for Sector Development; and an LLB Degree or equivalent for Legal roles).
- Strong communication skills, a knack for teamwork, and good proficiency in MS Office are essential.
