Payroll Administrator
Our manufacturing client is looking for a Payroll Administrator with5+ years of experience to manage and execute the full payroll function for approximately400 employees in a manufacturing environment.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries and wages, compliance with statutory requirements, and maintenance of payroll records.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade12) essential
- Payroll/HR/Finance qualification
- Minimum5 years’ payroll administration experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience processing payroll for both permanent and wage staff
- Experience managing payroll for a large staff complement (400+ employees)
- Proficient in payroll software (e.g., Sage, VIP, PaySpace, or similar)
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of South African payroll legislation and statutory requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Administer end-to-end payroll for all permanent and wage staff
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
- Maintain and update employee payroll records and files
- Prepare payroll reports for management and finance as required
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and professional manner
Salary: R20,000 – R40,000 CTC (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday,7:30am -4:30pm
