Risk Officer

Our client in Investments & Financial Service is looking for a Risk Officer to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the organization’s financial health and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Risk Assessment and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, including the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and the Prudential Authority (PA) guidelines.

Reporting: Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the board, highlighting key risks, trends, and mitigation strategies.

Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) is preferred.

Minimum of5 years of experience in risk management within the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in South Africa.
