Well, get excited because AgriSETA is offering an awesome 24-month Supply Chain Management Internship Programme for 2025, and it could be your golden ticket!

Who Can Apply?

Ready to jump in? Here’s what AgriSETA is looking for:

  • You need to have your Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • You must have an NQF Level 6 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or something similar. So, that diploma or advanced certificate you worked hard for? Now’s the time to use it!
  • No work experience? No problem! This programme is perfect for graduates fresh out of their studies.

Beyond the formal stuff, they’re looking for individuals with basic computer skills (especially MS Word & Excel), a keen eye for detail, and someone who thrives in a team environment. Sounds like you?

What Does It Cover?

This 24-month internship is a deep dive into the practical side of Supply Chain Management. You’ll be working at the AgriSETA Head Office in Arcadia, Pretoria, gaining valuable experience across various SCM functions. Here’s a peek at what you’ll be doing:

Procurement Power!

  • Learning to source quotations from tax-compliant suppliers on the CSD (Central Supplier Database).
  • Helping to compile RFQ (Request for Quotation) comparative schedules and recommend approvals.
  • Getting hands-on with generating and distributing purchase orders.
  • Mastering the art of processing requisitions and purchase orders efficiently.

Bid Administration Boss!

  • Ensuring everything is super compliant with SCM policies and National Treasury guidelines.
  • Following up on supplier deliveries – because timing is everything!
  • Facilitating contracts and those crucial Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Providing awesome support and secretariat services for bid committee meetings.

Logistics Level-Up!

  • Managing and safeguarding office essentials like stationery and groceries.
  • Conducting monthly stock-takes and keeping records squeaky clean.
  • Issuing stationery and preparing request forms for audits.

Travel Team Support!

  • Helping employees with all their travel logistics and bookings.
  • Becoming the go-to person for internal and external travel queries – even after hours!

Reporting & Beyond!

  • Making sure all reports are submitted on time, every time.
  • Maintaining RFQ registers and keeping procurement status reports updated.
  • Plus, pitching in with any other SCM-related tasks that come your way – because every day is an adventure!
