AgriSETA is opening applications for their 24-month Supply Chain Management Internship Programme for 2025. Who Can Apply?
Wondering if you’re the right fit? Here’s what AgriSETA is looking for:
- You need to have passed your Grade 12 / Matric.
- You must hold an NQF Level 6 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or something similar. So, if you’ve got that diploma or advanced certificate, you’re good to go!
- No prior work experience? No problem! This program is perfect for fresh graduates.
- You should be comfortable with basic computer tasks, especially MS Word & Excel.
- Got a sharp eye for detail and love working with a team? Even better!
What Does It Cover?
This 24-month program is designed to give you a full immersion into the world of Supply Chain Management. You won’t just be making coffee; you’ll be actively involved in crucial tasks! Plus, you’ll receive a monthly allowance to support you throughout your journey.
Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll be doing:
1. Procurement Power-Up
- Sourcing quotes from tax-compliant suppliers on the CSD (that’s the Central Supplier Database!).
- Compiling smart comparative schedules to help with approvals.
- Generating and sending out purchase orders – you’ll be the one making things happen!
- Efficiently processing requisitions and purchase orders.
2. Bid Administration Ace
- Making sure everything follows AgriSETA’s SCM policies and National Treasury guidelines – compliance is key!
- Following up on those crucial supplier deliveries.
- Helping out with contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Supporting bid committee meetings and keeping all the records straight.
3. Logistics Legend
- Managing and keeping track of all stationery and groceries.
- Doing monthly stock-takes and keeping accurate records.
- Issuing stationery and preparing request forms for audits.
4. Travel Troubleshooting
- Assisting colleagues with all their travel arrangements and bookings.
- Being the go-to person for any travel-related queries, even after hours!
5. Reporting & More!
- Ensuring all reports are submitted on time.
- Keeping those RFQ registers updated and tracking procurement status.
- And yes, tackling any other SCM-related duties that come your way – every day is a learning day!
