Thirteen students awarded in CUC, Santos bursary program

Bursary Description


Thirteen students have been awarded bursaries as part of a new joint program facilitated by the Country Universities Centre North West and Santos.

Each student will receive $1500 to support their studies.

“They are to be used on anything to help with school; whether that is laptops, textbooks, or travel costs,” CUC student services coordinator Cara Stoltenberg said.

“With support from Santos, we hope this will become an annual award.”

The inaugural recipients are Charlie Cooke (Diploma in Agribusiness, continuing into a Bachelor of Agribusiness), Mackenzie Jones (Bachelor of Animal Science), Jasmine Wheeler (Bachelor of Environmental Science), Millie Taylor (Bachelor of Exercise Science/Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology), Kaitlyn Storey (Bachelor of Psychology), Alex Tanfield (Doctor of Philosophy – The impact of multiple disasters on Australian communities), Tenayah-Lee Woodward (Bachelor of Paramedicine), Shona McFarland (Bachelor of Business), Rebecca Joy (Foundations of Infection Prevention and Control), Jesse Weekes (Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Science), Poppy Smith (Bachelor of Design in fashion and textiles), Adam Rily (Bachelor of Business) and Kate Weekes (Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education – Secondary).
