Bursary Description
The Institute of Agricultural Management (IAgrM) and The Farmers Club Charitable Trust (FCCT) are pleased to announce a new collaboration aimed at fostering leadership and innovation within the agricultural sector. This partnership will promote leadership development and practical innovation, offering members of both organisations new opportunities to enhance their skills and expand their professional networks.
As part of the collaboration, IAgrM and FCCT will work together to highlight the FCCT Windsor Leadership Trust Bursaries, FCCT Snapshot Studies 2025 and the IAgrM Farm Management Skills Programme. These initiatives, supported by FCCT, are designed to develop leadership capabilities and drive impactful research in the agricultural and food industries.
Leadership development and practical innovation
Through the Windsor Leadership Trust Bursaries, agricultural professionals will have the chance to attend immersive residential leadership programmes at Windsor Castle and Cumberland Lodge. These programmes, which include a structured two-part experience, provide insights from leaders across diverse fields including the military, business, and the public sector. Awardees will also benefit from ongoing peer-to-peer networking opportunities through the FCCT Professional Forums.
Additionally, the Snapshot Studies 2025 initiative will offer funding of up to £2,000 for innovative agricultural research projects. Successful applicants will develop practical solutions to challenges within the sector, supported by mentorship from FCCT’s Board of Trustees.
IAgrM Farm Management Skills Program
Further supporting the development of future agricultural leaders, IAgrM offers the Farm Management Skills Program, an intensive course designed for aspiring and current farm managers. Hosted at Harper Adams University, the programme covers essential topics such as leadership, motivation, financial management, and strategic planning. Participants engage in interactive modules that provide practical skills and knowledge applicable to modern farm management
Nick Green, Chairman of The Farmers Club Charitable Trust, is keen to develop collaboration with other organizations. “Collaborating with organisations across the sector will enhance industry resilience and foster the growth of knowledge and skills through diverse platforms. The FCCT provides a selection of distinctive bursaries designed to drive innovation and support individual development through tailored learning opportunities.”
Victoria Bywater, Director of IAgrM, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “At IAgrM, we are committed to supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders. Partnering with The Farmers Club Charitable Trust allows us to offer our members unique opportunities to develop both leadership skills and innovative thinking, crucial for the future of the industry.”
