Who Can Apply?
Seriti is looking for dedicated individuals, whether you’re fresh out of university or already have some relevant experience. Here’s who they’re looking for:
For External Applicants:
- You need to have one of these qualifications:
- BSc Engineering (Mining) OR
- BSc Geology (Hons) OR
- BEng Tech (Hons).
- Showcase sound academic performance and project experience in your field of study.
- Possess strong communication and writing skills.
- Be a self-starter with a genuine eagerness to learn.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness.
For Internal Applicants:
- If you have prior experience in mining production, geology, or mine planning, your learning will be recognized.
- Strong references from previous employers or learning institutions are a must.
- You should have proven completion of relevant academic projects.
- A good theoretical knowledge in mining-related studies is required.
- You’ll also need a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness.
- Excellent business writing, planning, and organizational skills are key.
- You must be computer literate (MS Office).
- Advantageous: Having a Strata Control Certificate in Coal (in progress or completed) is a plus!
For ALL Applicants (Internal & External):
- Any temporary work experience in the field will give you an edge.
- Knowledge of Seriti’s business principles, values, and operational codes of practice is also beneficial.
