Clarington offering two Diversity Leadership Bursaries for high school grad students

Bursary Description



Clarington wants to financially help out two graduating high school students who are actively championing diversity, inclusion, anti-racism and accessibility in the community.

Applications are now open for the second annual Diversity Leadership Bursary. There are two available and each with worth $1,250.

“There is no greater way to invest in our future than by investing in our youth. Clarington’s Diversity Leadership Bursary is an opportunity for the community to celebrate our growing diversity, support our student leaders, and proudly proclaim the values that make Clarington a welcoming place where everyone can use their full potential to build an even better community,” said Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster.

“We’re thrilled that two student leaders will have the opportunity to receive support through this year’s bursaries while being recognized for their contributions to the community,” said Tenzin Shomar, Chair of Clarington’s Diversity Advisory Committee. “Our goal is to help young leaders overcome financial barriers so they can continue making a meaningful impact. The Diversity Advisory Committee looks forward to reviewing applications and selecting recipients after submissions close on May 31.”
