Who Can Apply?
Journalists and filmmakers from Nigeria who are reporting in Nigeria can apply. You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in your field and a strong background in journalism. You don’t need to be a climate finance expert, but you should be passionate about telling stories about the climate crisis and energy transitions.
What Does It Cover?
The bursary offers:
- £3-5k funding for your reporting projects
- One-to-one mentoring to guide your projects
- In-depth training, both in-person and online
- Industry workshops on safety, impact, and pitching
- A training trip to Colombia, South America
- Global promotion of your media pieces by project partners
- Membership of the OWM global alumni network
