Bursary Description
East Lothian Council Arts Service, in partnership with Creative Scotland, announced the availability of Visual Artists and Craft Makers Awards (VACMA) for individuals in the area.
Applications for the funding must be submitted by 5pm on February 4.
Applications need to be submitted via the forms found on the East Lothian Council website by the deadline.
The bursaries aim to aid the professional growth of artists and craft makers.
The VACMA scheme provides two types of bursaries.
The first is £1,000 for those who have been practising for more than five years, irrespective of formal education.
The second is an early-career bursary of £500 for those who have less than five years of experience, graduated in 2019 or later, or have been practising without formal art education for up to five years.
In addition, the scheme will consider requests for support towards personal access costs.
These costs are managed separately from the bursary request, ensuring that applicants with access needs can fully utilise the bursary for their intended activities.
