Sligo County Council and The Model have announced deals of an open call for four 6-month artist studio residencies, generously supported by Sligo Arts Service and funded through Sligo Creative Ireland.

This initiative provides an exceptional opportunity for visual artists to advance their studio practice in a professional, creative environment at The Model.

Two residencies will run from February 1 to July 31, 2025, with a further two taking place between August 1 and January 31, 2026.

This opportunity is open to Sligo-based visual artists working across any artform, with the aim of supporting their creative development in one of the leading multidisciplinary arts organisations in Ireland.

The Model extends its deepest gratitude to Cathaoirleach Declan Bree, the Sligo Arts Service and Sligo Creative Ireland for their continued dedication and support in making this vital resource available to the visual arts community.

Applications are now open for artists who are eager to develop their practice within this supportive and inspiring environment.
