They’re recruiting for Examination Assistant (EA) and Quality Assurer (QA) posts for the 2025 examination cycle. Who Can Apply?
To be considered for these exciting roles, here’s what you need:
- You must have a recognised qualification like a Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate (NSC), or a National Senior Certificate Vocational.
- You need to be either a registered student at a tertiary institution, an unemployed graduate, or an unemployed person who already holds at least one tertiary qualification.
- Got strong numerical skills? You’ll need to have passed Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy at Grade 12 level.
- If you’re in your second year or higher at a tertiary institution, that’s a big plus!
- If you have any previous experience with examination administration, definitely include those details in your application!
Heads up! You’re not eligible if:
- You’re writing your NSC, Senior Certificate, or AET exams in 2025.
- You’ve participated in the VSP (Voluntary Severance Package).
- You’re currently employed elsewhere.
What You’ll Be Doing?
As an Examination Assistant (EA), you’ll be crucial in managing exam scripts at district and head offices. This means handling, checking, controlling, scanning, and packing scripts for marking, ensuring everything is in order before dispatching them to marking venues. You’ll also help with archiving the scripts for future retrieval.
If you’re a Quality Assurer (QA) at marking centres, your role is all about accuracy! You’ll receive and distribute scripts to marking teams, verify quantities, check marksheets, and ensure all questions are marked correctly with accurate totals. Your keen eye will help resolve any discrepancies and prepare scripts for archival.
