About the Role

As an IT Field Technician, you will be responsible for the on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure and systems directly at our client locations. This is a hands-on role where you will be the face of our technical support, helping businesses maintain seamless IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain a variety of hardware and software solutions at client sites.
• Efficiently diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Perform routine maintenance and essential system updates to prevent future problems.
• Provide technical support and clear training to end-users, enhancing their IT literacy.
• Travel frequently to different client locations within assigned regions as required.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all work performed and manage inventory.
• Uphold the highest standards of company policies, including honesty and integrity.

Requirements

• Must own a reliable personal vehicle for travel to client sites.
• Possession of your own mobile phone and laptop is essential.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with common operating systems and software.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently within the specified regions (Mthatha, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, Pretoria).
• Ability to undergo and pass regular polygraph tests related to honesty and drug-free compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Prior experience in IT support or field service roles is preferred, but not strictly mandatory – enthusiastic and skilled candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a significant advantage.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when necessary to meet client needs.
