As an IT Field Technician, you will be the face of our IT support, responsible for ensuring our clients’ systems run smoothly. This involves on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various IT infrastructure and systems. Your role is vital in providing seamless and secure IT environments for our clients.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of hardware and software at client locations.
• Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
• Provide clear and helpful technical support and training to end-users.
• Travel frequently to various client sites across Mthatha and Bloemfontein.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all work performed and manage inventory.
• Uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity in line with company policies.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

Essential Requirements:

• A reliable personal vehicle, a mobile phone, and a laptop are essential for this role.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS) and business software.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned regions (Mthatha, Eastern Cape & Bloemfontein, Free State).
• Ability to pass regular polygraph tests related to honesty and drug-free compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior experience in IT support, field service roles, or similar technical positions is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
• Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a significant plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when necessary.
