Stock Management Controller

Are you a highly organized and experienced professional with a passion for efficient stock management? A leading company in the Coach (Bus) Industry is looking for a dedicated Stock Management Controller to take full responsibility for their entire stock control function. This challenging role requires a motivated individual who can thrive under pressure, lead a team, and ensure seamless operations across multiple business segments.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Manage and optimize all warehouse operations, including the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock.
  • Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to a team of 4 warehouse staff members.
  • Conduct regular and accurate stock takes, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or damages.
  • Maintain precise stock levels at the head office and various consignees, implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure timely and efficient dispatch of stock to consignees and clients.
  • Collaborate closely with consignees to resolve stock-related issues and enhance overall stock management processes.
  • Analyze stock reports to identify opportunities for process improvements, maximizing efficiency, and managing overstock or obsolete inventory.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients and consignees, promptly reporting any concerns or issues.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies and procedures, actively re-establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve workflow.
  • Serve as a proactive problem-solver, especially in managing workflow across three key business segments: direct sales to clients, direct sales to manufacturing, and direct sales to the repairs department.
  • Develop and manage ordering plans for stock from both local and international suppliers (e.g., Brazil, Spain).

What We’re Looking For (Requirements):

  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in warehouse management, stock control, or a related field.
  • Strong practical experience in all aspects of stock management, including inventory control and conducting thorough stock takes.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software. (Training will be provided for specific systems like Smarterm / BAAN).
  • A technical mindset, preferably with experience or understanding of the Coach (Bus) Industry.
  • Must possess a reliable vehicle for travel to clients and local consignees.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team leader.
