Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for this fantastic UAL/ISH International Postgraduate Bursary, here’s what you need to tick off:

You must have received an offer to study a full-time or part-time taught Master’s course (like a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes, or MSc) at one of UAL’s six Colleges and Institutes, starting in the 2025/26 academic year.
Good news for South Africans! You need to be domiciled in one of the selected countries, and yes, South Africa is on the list! Other eligible countries include Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand, and Turkey.
Your annual household income should be £55,000 or less (or the equivalent in South African Rand).
You can’t have already completed a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or an equivalent level) from studies done in the UK or abroad.
You’ll need to submit a compelling personal statement (maximum 350 words per question) answering these key points:
- How this scholarship would truly make a difference to you.
- How you plan to use your qualification to achieve your future goals.
- How you would tackle challenges in your home country.
- How you plan to champion social justice and environmental stewardship.

What Does It Cover?
