Business Analyst
Are you a strategic and detail-oriented professional with a passion for optimizing business processes and driving growth? A leading South African company is seeking a talented Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and delivering data-driven insights to support key decision-making across the organisation.
What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, your core duties will include:
- Gathering and analyzing comprehensive business requirements from various stakeholders.
- Evaluating and continuously improving existing business processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Documenting crucial information, including requirements, process flows, use cases, and business cases.
- Translating complex business needs into clear and actionable technical specifications.
- Conducting thorough market and competitor research to inform strategic decisions.
- Developing insightful dashboards and performance reports (KPIs) to monitor progress.
- Facilitating productive meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- Supporting the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring.
- Performing detailed gap and impact analyses, and proposing effective solutions.
- Coordinating closely with IT and development teams to ensure solutions align with business goals.
- Assisting with user acceptance testing (UAT) and supporting change management initiatives.
- Monitoring the success of post-implementation changes and providing ongoing support.
- Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis.
- Evaluating vendor solutions and participating in Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) processes.
- Ensuring strict compliance with relevant company policies and industry regulations.
What We’re Looking For: Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in business analysis or a similar role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Solid knowledge of process improvement methodologies and business process modeling tools.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Relevant Business Analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or other enterprise systems.
