What You’ll Do
As a Senior Electronics Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Device Assembly & Build Support: Assemble telemetry hardware accurately and perform precise soldering according to production standards.
- Testing & Fault Diagnosis: Conduct thorough functional and performance tests on all units (outgoing and returned). Identify faults, troubleshoot failures, and perform necessary repairs efficiently.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of build processes, test results, and unit modifications. Draft detailed reports for returned units to ensure clear client communication.
- Admin & Workflow Assistance: Support the Head Technician with production planning, tracking, and inventory updates. Help implement and improve technical workflows and internal systems.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with operations, engineering, and assembly staff to meet production targets and deadlines. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and assist with Research & Development (R&D) activities where relevant.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A technical diploma or certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a similar relevant field.
- Proven experience in electronics assembly, soldering, and hardware testing.
- Competence in using essential tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other basic diagnostic equipment.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience with IoT, telemetry, or low-power embedded systems.
- Familiarity with component-level repair and rework.
- An interest or background in conservation technology.
