CLINICAL NURSE PRACTITIONER (PHC) GRADE 1 ONLY ( CONTRACT TILL 31 MARCH 2026)
The Gauteng Department of Health is seeking dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Practitioners (PHC) Grade 1 to join their Primary Health Care team. This is a full-time contract position until 31 March 2026, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare services in the Ekurhuleni Health District.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Practitioner (PHC), you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive, specialized nursing and clinical care within established standards and a professional legal framework. You will work within the Ekurhuleni Health District, contributing to the well-being of the community.

Requirements
To be considered for this vital role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A Grade 12 Certificate.
- A basic qualification (Diploma / Degree) in nursing, accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in terms of Government Notice R425, as a Professional Nurse.
- A Post-Basic Qualification with a minimum duration of one year, accredited with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R48, specifically in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment, and Care.
- A minimum of 4 years of appropriate experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Salary
R476,367.00 per annum (plus benefits)
Location
Ekurhuleni Health District, Germiston, Gauteng. This is an on-site position.
Contract Duration
Until 31 March 2026
