As the CEO, you will be responsible for steering the executive team towards new heights of innovation, strategic planning, and operational excellence. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):
You will guide the organisation through an exciting period of growth and transformation. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading a high-performing executive team in a hybrid work environment, focusing on collaboration and innovation across diverse industries such as mining, construction, agriculture, geospatial, and logistics.
- Setting strategic direction for multiple subsidiaries and ensuring operational excellence across all sectors.
- Developing and executing comprehensive strategic plans that align with organisational objectives and drive long-term success.
- Identifying emerging market opportunities and spearheading growth strategies to expand the company’s reach into new sectors and regions.
- Providing visionary guidance to ensure all teams align with the company’s mission of connecting physical and digital worlds through advanced technology solutions.
- Overseeing daily operations by implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, service delivery quality, safety standards, and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborating closely with the Financial Director to manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and maintain financial health.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, suppliers, shareholders, and other key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for major accounts.
- Representing the organisation at industry events, conferences, and meetings to solidify its reputation as an industry leader in technology integration.
- Mentoring and inspiring the executive team, fostering a culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and talent development.
- Conducting regular market analysis to anticipate industry trends and competitor movements, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Driving business development initiatives by collaborating with sales and marketing teams to attract new clients and develop robust pipelines of opportunities.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements):
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A degree in Technology or Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or chemical) combined with a business-related qualification.
- A demonstrated track record of executive leadership within engineering or technology organisations, preferably those operating in geospatial services or industries such as mining, construction, or agriculture.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and execution, coupled with strong operational management skills focused on driving profitability and sustainable growth.
- A deep understanding of engineering principles, knowledge of product lifecycles, and awareness of technological advancements relevant to target industries.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience fostering cultures centered around innovation, encouraging creative thinking, and implementing process improvements.
- Strong critical thinking capabilities for making informed decisions based on data analysis, and consistent problem-solving skills across multifaceted situations.
- Ability to navigate complex business environments using inductive, numerical, and deductive reasoning.
- A transformational leadership style, focused on inspiring people towards shared goals while adapting personally during periods of change.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle, with a willingness to travel extensively both nationally and internationally.
