Who Can Apply?

- You need a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in either Financial Administration or Accounting, with a minimum of 360 credits.

- Good English communication skills (both reading and writing) are essential.
- Crucially, you must be a resident of the City of Johannesburg.
- And here’s a big one: this programme is generally for those who haven’t participated in an internship before. So if this is your first real shot, even better!
What Does It Cover?
This isn’t just about gaining experience; it’s about getting paid while you do it! You’ll receive a monthly stipend of R10,109.86 (basic salary, no additional benefits). - Making sure all procurement (buying stuff) follows the City’s rules, policies, and the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).
- Managing expenses and reports with top-notch confidentiality, control, and transparency.
- Handling all the important office administration and document management tasks.
- Keeping an eye on and managing the day-to-day needs of the Finance Unit.
You’ll also develop awesome competencies like data capturing, communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, all while maintaining accountability and confidentiality.
