INSETA ISSF Bursary 2024
Programme Overview: INSETA (Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority) invites students to apply for the Insurance Sector Student Fund (ISSF) bursary programme for the 2024 academic year. The bursaries target unemployed and employed individuals, preferably those studying courses in the Insurance and related sectors. Awards are based on academic merit and financial need.
Coverage:
- Unemployed students: Tuition fees, textbooks, accommodation, meals, technological devices (laptops and data), and a monthly allowance.
- Employed students: Tuition fees and a book allowance (on a sliding scale).
Eligibility Criteria:
- South African citizen
- Currently in Matric (in 2023) or completed Matric
- Unemployed and between 18 and 35 years old OR employed (any age)
- Studying or intending to study at a recognized South African tertiary institution (preferably in the Insurance and related sectors)

- Download and complete the INSETA ISSF Bursary Application Form 2023 (.pdf)
- Enter “Studentroom” in the field asking how you heard about the INSETA ISSF bursary.
- Submit clear copies of the required documents along with your completed application form.

- Matric certificate, if completed Matric (certified copy)
- Most recent academic record, if currently studying (on institutions letterhead)
- Acceptance Letter from institution (on institutions letterhead)
- Proof of Registration from institution, if applicable (on institutions letterhead)
- Tuition Fee/ Course Quotation (on institutions letterhead)
- Completed ISSF POPIA Form (.pdf)
- Employed applicants:
- Completed ISSF Worker Agreement (.pdf)
- Completed INSETA Business Information Tool (BI-Tool) (.xlsx)
- Letter of Employment
- Unemployed applicants:
- Completed ISSF Learner Agreement (.pdf)

- Accommodation Fee/ Course Quotation (on institutions letterhead)
- Parents or guardians ID documents/ death certificates/ affidavit if deceased (certified copy)
- Parents or guardians 3 months recent payslips/ bank statements (certified copy)
- Parents or guardians affidavit and SASSA letter if receiving a grant (certified copy)
