Requirements

MBChB & MMed degree or a relevant postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesiology and current registration with the HPCSA as a Specialist in Anaesthesiology.

For Grade 1, no experience is required. For Grade 2, a minimum of 5 years of experience is required, and for Grade 3, a minimum of 10 years of experience is required.

Must have a strong record of clinical governance, clinical expertise, research, and experience of supervision, training, and teaching at both under- and post-graduate levels.

Duties

Ensure effective and efficient clinical service delivery within the domain of the central hospital as well as at other cluster hospitals.

Support, teach, and examine pre-…and post-graduate students in the appropriate aspects of Clinical Unit.

Initiate and participate in research activities and publications in accordance with the School of Medicine plans.

These positions will be joint appointments between the Gauteng Department of Health and the following academic institutions: University of…Witwatersrand / University of Pretoria and/ Sefako Makgatho University.
