The VGI Consulting Bursary is designed to support ambitious South African students pursuing full-time undergraduate degrees in various engineering fields. Who Can Apply?
Think you have what it takes? Here’s who VGI Consulting is looking for:
- You must be a South African citizen, between 18 and 25 years old.
- You need to have completed your Matric.
- You should be studying full-time towards a BEng, BTech, or BSc in one of these awesome fields: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- You must be registered at a recognised, accredited South African university or university of technology.
- If you’re already in university, you need a minimum 60% overall average for your 1st year (this bursary is for students entering 2nd year or higher in 2026).
- You shouldn’t currently be receiving any other bursary funding.
Important Note: You’ll also need to be ready for some hands-on experience! Bursary recipients must complete vacation work during the June/July and Dec/Jan university breaks.
What Does It Cover?
This bursary is super helpful in making sure your studies are covered:
- University registration fees
- Full tuition fees
- Prescribed study materials
- Examination fees
What it DOESN’T Cover: Just a heads-up, the bursary doesn’t cover previous years’ outstanding fees or failed modules. Awards are granted for one academic year at a time but can be renewed annually based on your awesome academic performance!
