Job Overview

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is seeking a Lecturer in Academic Literacies to join the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Academic Literacies Programme and will be responsible for facilitating learning, conducting research, and providing academic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Facilitating learning at undergraduate levels in the Academic Literacies Programme
• Conducting research and publishing in Extended Curriculum Programmes
• Undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
• Providing academic leadership and administration
• Undertaking curriculum development and assessment
• Participating in community engagement and outreach

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A Master’s qualification or equivalent in the field of Education
• At least five years of teaching experience in the field of Academic Literacies for Commerce within Extended Curriculum Programmes
