Lecturer in Academic Literacies (Extended Curriculum Programme)

The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences offers a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across various disciplines, including the Academic Literacies Programme.

About the Role

UWC is looking for a dedicated Lecturer in Academic Literacies to join its Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) within the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Main Campus in Bellville.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging learning experiences for undergraduate students in the Academic Literacies Programme.
• Conduct meaningful research and publish findings related to Extended Curriculum Programmes.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding their academic journeys.
• Contribute to academic leadership and administrative tasks within the programme.
• Develop and enhance curriculum content and assessment methods.
• Actively participate in community engagement and outreach initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• A Master’s qualification or equivalent in the field of Education.
• At least five years of teaching experience specifically in Academic Literacies for Commerce within Extended Curriculum Programmes.
