Lecturer in Academic Literacies (Extended Curriculum Programme)

The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences offers a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across various disciplines, including the Academic Literacies Programme.
About the Role
UWC is looking for a dedicated Lecturer in Academic Literacies to join its Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) within the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Main Campus in Bellville.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences for undergraduate students in the Academic Literacies Programme.
 - Conduct meaningful research and publish findings related to Extended Curriculum Programmes.
 - Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding their academic journeys.
 - Contribute to academic leadership and administrative tasks within the programme.
 - Develop and enhance curriculum content and assessment methods.
 - Actively participate in community engagement and outreach initiatives.
 
Minimum Requirements
- A Master’s qualification or equivalent in the field of Education.
 - At least five years of teaching experience specifically in Academic Literacies for Commerce within Extended Curriculum Programmes.

 - Professional knowledge of ECP programmes.
 - Deep technical and professional knowledge in the discipline, covering learning, teaching, research, scholarship, community engagement, and professional leadership.
