Hey future legal eagles and admin whizzes! Ready to kickstart your career with some real-world experience? The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in South Africa is calling all TVET learners and university graduates for their 2026 Learnerships and Graduate Internships!

While these are officially called Internships and Learnerships, at Bursaries Room we know they’re essentially a fantastic “bursary” in experience and opportunity! These programmes are your golden ticket to gain invaluable skills, fulfil your qualification requirements, or just get that essential workplace exposure you need to shine for a 24-month period (2026-2028).

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for these awesome opportunities, make sure you tick these boxes:

  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You must have no criminal convictions or pending cases – integrity is key!
  • You must be unemployed and have never participated in any internship or work-integrated learning programme before.
  • If you’re a TVET applicant, you must be studying towards a qualification that requires work experience to complete it.
  • If you’re a university graduate, you must have obtained a qualification from a University or University of Technology.

What Does It Cover?

These 24-month programmes (running from 2026 to 2028) offer practical work experience and a monthly stipend of R6,659.25. It’s your chance to gain essential skills and make your CV shine, all while contributing to the National Prosecuting Authority!

How to Apply?

  1. Get your hands on a fully completed and signed new Z83 form. You can download it from the Department of Public Service and Administration website: www.dpsa.gov.za
  2. Prepare a comprehensive CV that highlights all your skills and experience.
  3. Submit both your Z83 form and CV to the relevant recruitment email address for the specific post you’re applying for (listed above under each opportunity).

Heads Up! Important Notes to Remember:

  • Only candidates who make it to the shortlist will be asked to submit certified copies of their qualifications and other documents.
  • Don’t be late – applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.
  • Make sure you send your application only to the published email address. Applications sent via any other method won’t be considered.
  • If you don’t hear back within six (6) months after the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
  • Successful candidates should know that the NPA does not cover relocation costs.
