About the Role
As a Data Architect for Analytical and Reporting Platforms, you will be crucial in defining and overseeing the technology solutions for our Data and Analytics (D&A) environment. You will ensure our platforms meet current and future technology needs and play a key role in guiding a team of data engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define technology solutions for the Data and Analytics (D&A) environment, ensuring alignment with current and future technology needs.
- Support and oversee the development of detailed technical specifications from business requirements, leveraging strong expertise in D&A and related Back-End Systems and data sources.
- Manage a team of data engineers responsible for implementing technology solutions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to data engineers working on the analytical platform.
- Collaborate closely with engineers on technical deliverables.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in implementing Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Visualisation solutions, including supporting architecture.
- Experience with the product development life cycle.
- In-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing best practices.
- Strong understanding of BI environments, solutions, and end-to-end BI architecture and technologies.
- Expertise in BI development (reports, dashboards, data visualisation, etc.).
- A good understanding of design and user experience principles.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Diploma in Information Technology – Systems Engineering.
- Ideal: Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Minimum: Detailed knowledge of Data Warehouse Development Life Cycle, Dimensional modelling, Financial systems and procedures, UML or equivalent modelling language, Technical Test Plan Design, IT systems development processes, Application development, Standards and governance.
- Ideal: Detailed knowledge of the banking systems environment, banking business model, Agile development life cycle, and best practices for Quality Assurance (QA).
