About the Forex Technology Team

Our Forex Technology team is at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining Capitec Bank’s international payment and Forex systems. We enable seamless cross-border transactions for both individual and business clients through the Global One app. Our responsibilities include end-to-end delivery and operational excellence of cloud-based Forex applications, focusing on automation, compliance, and efficiency across all regulatory and financial processes.

About the Role: System Analyst

As a System Analyst in the Forex Technology team, you will provide critical technical and functional support across multiple Forex systems. Your role will be essential in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and compliance of our systems within a highly regulated banking environment.

You will act as a key liaison between our business and technology teams, manage incident responses, support system integrations, and contribute significantly to continuous system improvements. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies and complex financial processes, making a tangible impact on the bank’s international payments ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide comprehensive technical support and maintenance for Forex systems and their integrations.
• Monitor system performance, manage alerts, and coordinate effective responses to incidents and outages.
• Support the automation of various Forex processes to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with cloud, risk, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with internal developers, business stakeholders, and external vendors on system enhancements and technical upgrades.
• Optimize cloud cost management and oversee platform stability within AWS environments.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives and identify automation opportunities across the ecosystem.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar technical role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Proven experience with AWS cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and Linux.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Advantageous Skills:

• Familiarity with GitHub, EKS / Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
• Exposure to APIs, system integration, and automation tools.
• Experience supporting Forex or international payment systems.
