Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong technical background in the beverage industry? We’re looking for a dynamic Field Sales expert to join our team, focusing on technical machinery sales and driving strategic growth.

About the Role

As a Field Sales professional, your primary mission will be to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities within the beverage industry. You will be responsible for promoting our comprehensive product portfolio, which includes new machinery, spare parts, IT solutions, and services, to our valued customers. Your goal is to meet sales targets and maximize growth potential, especially leveraging your in-depth knowledge of bottling plants.

Location

This position covers sales territories in both Gauteng and Cape Town, requiring frequent travel within the Southern Africa region and potentially internationally.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Achieve defined sales targets as a vital member of the Sales Team.
  • Actively promote and sell a wide range of products including new machines, spare parts, rebuild/exchange programs, retrofits, IT solutions, consumables (KIC), overhauls, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Secure new orders through strategic client engagements, collaborating with product champions to provide tailored solutions.
  • Expand our market presence by following up on leads and proactively seeking new customer opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain the CRM database for business continuity and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Handle client inquiries, prepare detailed quotations, obtain samples, and determine pricing for specified items.
  • Oversee the order process, keep clients informed of order status, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Facilitate smooth communication between internal departments and customers, addressing client concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to special projects by assisting with internal and external communications.
  • Travel regularly to client locations across Southern Africa for product presentations and attend relevant sales and project meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Sales or Marketing.
  • Alternatively, a National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience specifically within the Beverage Packaging industry (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of dedicated Technical Sales experience.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex contractual issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP applications, and CRM systems.
  • A willingness and ability to travel both nationally and internationally as required.
