Assistant Manager

About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and improving departmental operations. Your main goal will be to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity across all supply chain and logistics functions. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth flow of goods and processes.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Support the preparation of sales budgets and analyze sales activity trends.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales objectives and conduct monthly sales performance analysis.
- Perform gross profit analysis, comparing sales to cost of sales, reporting on GP trends, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitor overdue inventory and resolve issues related to damaged stock effectively.
- Manage and strengthen customer relationships to expand existing business opportunities.
- Provide support and coordination for new projects and trial activities, ensuring successful completion.
- Handle the full process from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to preparing quotes and managing customer orders.
- Supervise and assist with various processes within SAP.
- Manage rundown sheets, tracking on-hand inventory information with suppliers and customers.
- Ensure that all queries, including quality issues, damaged stock, overdue debtors, and airfreight costs, are resolved promptly.
- Execute month-end tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Implement and control First-In, First-Out (FIFO) stock management procedures.
What You’ll Need (Requirements)
- A valid Matric certificate.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience within the Automotive industry, particularly with end-to-end Supply Chain Management, is highly preferred.
- Proficiency and prior experience with SAP R3.
