System Integrator (Pretoria)

Are you an experienced System Integrator looking for a challenging role in Pretoria? We are seeking a talented individual to join our engineering team, focusing on programming PLC and SCADA systems for new projects and providing crucial support for existing programs.

About the Role

As a System Integrator, you will be a key player in developing and implementing control solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating detailed functional descriptions from control philosophies.
• Designing system architectures for software implementations.
• Configuring industrial communication networks (Ethernet, Fibre, Profinet, etc.).
• Developing, testing, and implementing PLC programs according to specifications.
• Designing, developing, testing, and implementing SCADA and HMI applications.
• Developing simulation applications for testing and training.
• Creating Quality Control Plan (QCP) documentation for Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
• Performing FATs and SATs to ensure solutions are fully functional.
• Implementing complete solutions at client sites and ensuring optimal operation.
• Providing training and assistance to internal and external clients.
• Offering post-project system support as needed.
• Designing and configuring servers and historians.
• Applying knowledge of IoT and architecture.
• Configuring Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and instrumentation.
• Interpreting electrical schematics.
• Providing remote and on-site troubleshooting support for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams.

What We Are Looking For

Academic Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer & Electrical Engineering (NDiploma, B.Tech or B.Eng).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid passport.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in PLC and SCADA programming.
• Advanced knowledge in Siemens software and S7 programming.
• Advanced knowledge in SCADA configuration (Ignition, Adroit, Wonderware, WinCC).
• Advanced knowledge in Network configuration.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
