Your Role as Lecturer/Associate Lecturer: ECP

We are looking for a passionate individual to teach on the Extended Curriculum Programme. You will play a key part in facilitating learning and fostering academic growth for students in Physics and Astronomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Physics and Astronomy.
  • Conduct impactful research and publish your findings in relevant academic journals.
  • Provide supervision to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and effective assessment practices.
  • Engage in community outreach activities.

Who We Are Looking For (Minimum Requirements)

For Lecturer:

  • An MSc in Physics or a related field, actively registered for a PhD with clear plans for completion.
  • Proven teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • A record of successfully supervising postgraduate students at the Honours level.
  • Demonstrated research output through publication(s) in accredited journals.

For Associate Lecturer:

  • A BSc Honours in Physics, actively registered for an MSc with clear plans for completion.
  • Proven teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Advantageous Criteria:

  • Experience teaching within an Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP).
  • Demonstrated experience in technology-enhanced teaching methods and using sensors/data acquisition systems in undergraduate education.
  • A proven track record of designing and implementing active learning activities.
