Lecturer/ Associate Lecturer: Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) – (2146)

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is seeking a Lecturer/Associate Lecturer to join the Department of Physics and Astronomy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching on the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP).

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Conduct research and publish on topics related to the department’s interests
• Undertake undergraduate and/or postgraduate supervision
• Undertake curriculum development and assessment
• Undertake community engagement and outreach

Minimum Requirements

For Lecturer:

• MSc in Physics or related fields and currently registered for a PhD
• Demonstrated teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Record of successful postgraduate supervision at the honours level
• Evidence of research output in accredited journals

For Associate Lecturer:

• BSc Honours in Physics and currently registered for a MSc
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level
