The Department of Health at WITS ORAL HEALTH CENTRE is looking for a qualified Dental Technician to join their Laboratory (Dental) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to dental patient care, as well as teaching and training dental students.
About the Role
As a Dental Technician, you will play a crucial role in dental production and education. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Producing various orthodontic appliances.
- Utilizing CAD/CAM technology for dental fabrications.
- Creating both fixed and removable prostheses.
- Producing implants support prostheses.
- Collaborating with undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.
- Participating in the teaching and training of dental students, specifically in orthodontics and CAD/CAM work.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following essential criteria:
- Hold a recognized qualification as a Dental Technician.
- Be currently registered with the South African Dental Technicians Council (SADTC).
- Possess practical experience in orthodontics appliances, crown work, and CAD/CAM technology.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform effectively under pressure and ensure timely delivery of work.
Salary and Benefits
This position offers a competitive annual package ranging from R397,233.00 to R543,099.00, excluding benefits.
