What You’ll Do

As an Administrator for Business Direct, you will provide essential support to our sales team and be a key point of contact for clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the central, office-based contact point for customer service queries and requests.
  • Assisting with the preparation of credit applications and loan documentation.
  • Facilitating the opening of new client accounts.
  • Identifying and acting on cross-selling opportunities to add value for our clients.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 5 years of general banking experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year specifically in a Business Banking environment.
  • A solid understanding of Business Banking operations, associated risks, and financial requirements.
  • Essential experience in preparing and motivating credit applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • A relevant postgraduate degree.

Knowledge & Skills

What You Need to Know:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of Capitec Bank’s product and service offerings, including their features, benefits, and value propositions.
  • Solid grasp of general banking practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Credit principles and practices, including understanding credit applications, securities, and balance sheet requirements.
  • Familiarity with multiple legal entities (e.g., companies, close corporations, sole proprietorships) in the commercial market and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Good working knowledge of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).
  • Ability to extract and apply information effectively for CRM (Customer Relationship Management) strategy.
  • A strong understanding of administrative processes and procedures for Business Banking transactions.
  • Advantageous: Thorough working knowledge of multi-level products and pricing structures.
  • Advantageous: Awareness of competitor product offerings, channels, and marketing tactics.
  • Advantageous: Good understanding of current taxation laws as they apply to a customer portfolio.
