CLINICAL PROGRAMME COORDINATOR: INFECTION PREVENTION & CONTROL (IPC) GRADE 1

Job Summary

The Department of Health is seeking a Clinical Programme Coordinator: Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Grade 1 to join their team at WITS ORAL HEALTH CENTRE.

Requirements

Valid Grade 12 Certificate. Basic qualification Accredited with SANC in terms of Government Notice 425 (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse, a minimum of 7 years appropriate /recognisable experience in nursing after registration with SANC as a General Professional Nurse. A qualification in Infection Prevention and Control from a recognisable institution of Higher Learning and a minimum of 5 years working experience in Infection Prevention and Control unit and two years of that in a Public Health environment.

Duties

Implementation of the National Infection Prevention and Control Strategic Framework. Development and Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures in IPC, waste management, environmental health, and cleaning as well as decontamination of medical devices.
