Job Summary

The Department of Civil Engineering Technology is seeking a Technical Assistant III (Laboratory Assistant) to prepare and supervise laboratory practicals for undergraduate students and assist postgraduate students with research practicals.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with subject-related laboratory practicals
• Assist the department with relevant research practicals
• Ensure that all laboratory equipment is always calibrated

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Qualification (Diplomas and Certification) (NQF 6)
• Minimum of three (3) years’ of appropriate laboratory experience

Competencies and Behavioural Attributes

• Good communication skills (written and verbal) with high level of proficiency in English
• Computer literacy
