Anita B. Lawrence Ph.D. Scholarship in Acoustics 2022-23 at the University of New South Wales is now available for students if they are enrolled or enrolling in an accredited higher degree research course of study at UNSW.

University of New South Wales offers such scholarships yearly to welcome students to the campus. Anita B. Lawrence Ph.D. Scholarship in Acoustics 2022-23 will open the door to new and better opportunities for selected students and expose them to advanced learning in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs.

Scholarship Benefits:
The Scholarship will be paid as a stipend for general living costs at $30,000 per annum and a research allowance of $5,000 per annum. It will be payable for 3.5 years. The scholarship will be held in conjunction with a Tuition Fee Scholarship (TFS) if the recipient is international.

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must be enrolled or enrolling in an accredited higher degree research course of study at UNSW.
The scholarship is available to both new and existing candidates.
The scholarship is available to full-time and part-time candidates.
The duration and payment of the scholarship will be pro-rata if awarded to an existing and/or part-time candidate.
Selection criteria
Academic merit
Interest in research and/or an academic career in acoustics With a focus on architectural acoustics and noise control in buildings and community noise

Your CV and copy of your academic transcript
Names of two academic referees
One sample of written work appropriate for an academic audience (e.g. undergraduate dissertation, peer-reviewed journal article, etc)
A “Statement of Purpose” outlining your reasons for applying, how you meet the eligibility criteria, and your longer-term goals (max. 1-2 pages).
