Education:
- You must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Crucially, you need a pilot qualification with an Instrument Flight (IF) rating, and/or an Air Traffic Controller (ATC) / Air Traffic Services Officer (ATSO) qualification.
Bonus points if you’ve completed any of these courses:
- PANS-OPS Basic Course
- Safety Management System Course
- State Safety Programme Course
Experience:
- You’ll need at least 5 years of experience as a qualified Pilot (with an IF rating) and/or a qualified ATC/ATSO.
