Job Summary

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is seeking a Lecturer for the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) in the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy, Biodiversity and Conservation Biology, or Statistics and Population Studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Conduct research and publish in relevant fields
• Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
• Provide academic administration
• Undertake curriculum development and assessment
• Participate in community engagement and outreach

Minimum Requirements

• Masters qualification or equivalent in one of the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Biodiversity and Conservation Biology, or Statistics
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning in the ECP for at least 5 years
